BRASS BAND WORKS

From Concrete to Cobblestone (1996; rev. 2020) – manuscript - Commissioned by the United States Army Brass Band, Capt. Timothy Holtan, conductor. Premiered at Gettysburg College, spring of 1997. A five movement suite based upon my impressions of England.
Grace and Glory (2000) – (in press, C. Alan Music) – written for the Western Colorado Brass Band, Dr. John Wacker, conductor to commemorate the 80th birthday of John Kincaid.
Fanfare to Sir Malcom (2015) – (manuscript)
​– written for the Lake Wobegon Brass Band’s 2015 tour of England.
Infamy (2016) – (manuscript) – written for the Lake Wobegon Brass Band to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor
Bring a Torch (2017) – (manuscript)
​– brass band version of original brass quintet setting of “Bring a Torch, Jenette Isabela”.
Psalm 150 (2018) – (manuscript) – brass band version of original wind band piece with organ.
Declamation on a Hymn Tune (1978/2019) – (manuscript)
– brass band version of original brass ensemble setting of the hymn “Ye Watchers,
and Ye holy Ones” (Lass tuns Erfreuen).
Cheers! (1996/2019) – (manuscript) – brass band setting of original wind band fanfare written for the ACC Heritage of America Band, Col. Lowell Graham, conductor. Brass band version given as a gift to the Grimethorpe Colliery Band and was premiered in February, 2020.
Handsel Overture (2019) – (manuscript) – written for the Grimethorpe Colliery Band. Postponed premiere date was May 9, 2020 at Selby Abby (UK).
San Luis Snapshots – (2016/2020) – (manuscript) – brass band version written for Steve Eckland (LWBB) and Helen Varley (GCB) based on the original wind band version.
Elegy in Memory of Gerard Schurmann (2020) – (manuscript)
– written upon hearing of the death of film composer Gerard Schurmann.
For the Beauty of the Earth (2020) – (manuscript)
​– brass band setting of the popular hymn tune.
Mill City Flourish (2019/2020) – (manuscript) – originally composed for the Minnesota Orchestra Brass Quintet. Brass band version dedication to the Grimethorpe Colliery Band and the Lake Wobegon Brass Band.
